Does permanetly straightening your hair at home work?

My mom sometimes does her perms at home and i want to permanetly straighten my hair at home.Does it work?does it damage your hair?if you recomend a brand give me the brand.

    It depends on how curly your hair is. I have tried to chemically straiten my hair three times and it still wouldn’t work. All it did was damage my hair really bad.

    anything like that wont be permanent. and of course those kind of things damage hair, most things do.

    I am a hair stylist. Relaxers do work, but can be very damaging if it’s not done correctly. You can go to a beauty supply house, like, Sally’s to get a pretty good one. You must not leave it on too long. Apply it to roots first, then, work it into the ends. Keep
    pressing it straight with your comb. Be careful not to get it on your skin. Use some Vaseline around your hair line. It can give you chemical burns.
